LESSONS

Lessons are scheduled in half-hour times, one day a week. You will be expected to arrive on time to your lesson each week with all of the appropriate equipment & materials that you instructor advised you to have. Once you book your day/time with your instructor you are effectively purchasing that day/time each week.

In certain circumstances hour-long lessons can be scheduled. Semi-private lessons, which allow you to learn with a friend, are also available for certain instruments. In these cases you will need to speak to the instructor regarding the cost, since these special circumstances require greater lesson fees.

PAYMENT FOR LESSONS

Lessons must be paid for a month at a time. The payment is expected at the beginning of the first lesson of each month. Your instructor will advise you what your payment is at the last lesson of the preceding month to avoid any confusion.

So for example, if your payment next month is $72, then you are expected to pay your instructor the $72 at the beginning of the first lesson next month. If you have any questions about your payment, or the payment schedule policy please contact our office at 859-442-7655 or email us.

SCHEDULING OR CANCELLING A LESSON

Scheduling of lessons is done through your instructor or the office (call 859-442-7655, email, or go to the desk in person). You must inform your instructor personally if you wish to cancel your lesson or wish to make any changes in your lesson schedule.

It is up to the private instructor to determine if he is able to reschedule your missed lesson, or in the event of there being no opportunity to do so, you will be charged for your missed lesson. This will ensure that no misunderstandings over scheduling or payment occur.

Since each instructor makes these determinations on a case by case basis, here is the general policy that our instructors usually adhere to, and is easy to remember:

To be excused from your lesson, you must contact the instructor by 12PM (noon) the day before your lesson. If you cancel after 12PM (noon), or fail to show up for a scheduled lesson, you will be charged for that lesson.
